The Thuringian Agency for European Programmes (ThAEP e.V.) is a non-profit organization drawing on over a decade of experience in the development, coordination, and evaluation of projects at the European, federal, and state levels.
ThAEP is dedicated to strengthening regional development, with a particular focus on securing skilled labour in key sectors such as healthcare, hospitality and gastronomy, and agriculture.

ThAEP designs and implements forward-looking educational and innovation projects that address key topics such as digital transformation, sustainability, and competence development. The project portfolio ranges from improving rural public transport and optimizing timetable systems to mitigating the effects of climate change through urban greening.

As an active partner in funding programmes such as ERASMUS+, Interreg Central Europe, CERV, AMIF, and Horizon Europe, ThAEP collaborates closely with a strong network of stakeholders from education, science, business, and politics, firmly rooted in the region and well connected across Europe.

In addition to project management, ThAEP’s core activities include the development of content for vocational education and training, the organization of learner and trainer mobilities, and the support of continuing education, always in close cooperation with educational providers.

In the MO-LAB II project, ThAEP contributes its expertise as the initiator and coordinating partner, actively driving the digital transformation of agricultural education and developing innovative, future-oriented learning approaches in close collaboration with its partners.

Germany

Agrar GmbH Crawinkel/Thuringia

Agrar GmbH Crawinkel is a modern, ecologically managed agricultural enterprise located in the Thuringian Forest, cultivating approximately 2,000 hectares of grassland in accordance with the European Union’s organic farming regulations. The farm focuses on year-round, extensive grazing with cattle and horses, alongside the protection and promotion of biodiversity. During the “Geo Day of Biodiversity,” around 2,400 animal and plant species were identified on the farm’s land within just 24 hours.

With around 700 seasonally calving cattle and approximately 600 horses, including 100 broodmares whose offspring are trained and prepared for sale on site, Agrar GmbH Crawinkel combines animal husbandry with nature-based landscape management. These services have also been offered to public institutions, foundations, and private clients for nearly 20 years.

As a long-standing partner in dual vocational training and an active contributor to ecological niche strategies, Agrar GmbH Crawinkel brings valuable hands-on experience to forward-looking education projects and represents a model for climate- and conservation-oriented agriculture.

Agricultural Cooperative eG Bollstedt

Agrargenossenschaft Bollstedt eG is a modern, regionally rooted agricultural cooperative located in the Thuringian Basin, managing approximately 3,000 hectares of arable land and 300 hectares of grassland. The cooperative combines agricultural tradition with innovative technologies and sustainable practices – from integrated crop production to diversified livestock farming with 1,200 breeding sheep, 5,000 pig fattening places, and 5,500 piglet rearing spaces, as well as its own biogas plant for climate-friendly energy production.

By combining smart farming approaches with a complete value chain from production to direct marketing, the cooperative embodies a forward-thinking "farm to fork" model. High-quality meat and sausage products are processed on site and distributed through the cooperative’s own retail outlets and partner networks.

As a training provider with a broad service portfolio, Agrargenossenschaft Bollstedt actively contributes to projects focused on skills development and modern vocational education, representing a resilient, technology-driven approach to agriculture with strong regional ties.

Agenzia per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile (ASSO) – Agency for Sustainable Development is multidisciplinary association of experts and researchers based in Italy, specializing in European project design and consultancy on sustainability issues. Since 2011, ASSO has been dedicated to promoting sustainable urban and community development, identifying innovative models for rural areas, advancing climate adaptation, biodiversity protection and alternative energy production. Through collaborations with leading universities, research centers and international specialists, ASSO delivers high-value consulting services and innovative initiatives. The agency has also launched the Climate Academy, fostering climate literacy and ecological transformation through training programs, seminars and public engagement activities.

Chemtrade Estonia OÜ

Founded in 2009, Chemtrade Estonia OÜ has developed from a trading company into a diversified enterprise active in chemistry, agriculture, energy, and education. Initially focused on chemical products and raw materials, the company has steadily expanded into green energy, agricultural development, food trade, and industrial processing. With a strong commitment to sustainability, Chemtrade combines interdisciplinary expertise to create long-term value across sectors.

The company’s portfolio ranges from fertilizers, minerals, and raw materials to cereals, vegetable oils, and high-quality seafood products. In the agricultural field, Chemtrade produces high-protein feed additives and fats for livestock and pets, with by-products serving as organic fertilizers, alternative fuels, or components for biodiesel production. Current projects include the development of hydroelectric power plants in Ukraine, innovations in mining and processing industries, and educational initiatives that strengthen vocational training in agriculture. As part of the above, PROTEGER Ltd provides professional support for educational projects, especially internships, thanks to which their beneficiaries (students, teachers and other target groups) can acquire professional and language competences in the most modern vocational education and training centres in Poland and other EU countries. The University of Agriculture in Krakow is a public academy providing tertiary education, conducting specialist research and educational activity in the fields of agriculture, food industry, forestry, environmental protection and environmental engineering, in all their functional aspects, i.e. natural, technical, social and economic. The University expands and popularizes knowledge, creates innovation aimed to promote food safety and climate neutrality, improve the competitive advantage of an economy sector based on biological materials and processes, in response to emerging challenges to society and civilization. The University of Agriculture operates on a European scale, continually improving its processes, and is positioned to influence especially the region of Central Europe. The University’s potential is used in research and implementation projects, in educational activity, based on cooperation with businesses, social organizations, state administration, local government units, and on continually developed international cooperation with leading academic centres in the European Union and worldwide.

Secondary School Complex and Centre for Continuing Education in Przygodzice

Zespół Szkół Ponadpodstawowych Centrum Kształcenia Ustawicznego (ZSP CKU) in Przygodzice is an educational institution located in Ostrów Wielkopolski County, Greater Poland Voivodeship. Established in 1945 as an agricultural school, the institution has continuously developed in response to regional and national educational needs. In 2002 it was reorganized into a school complex, bringing together a general high school (liceum), a technical school (technikum), and a centre for continuing education.

The school offers diverse educational pathways. In the liceum, students pursue crisis management and military-oriented classes, where they wear uniforms as part of their training. In the technikum, students are trained for professions such as farmer, technician in agricultural mechanization and agrotronics, and veterinary technician. In recognition of its achievements, the institution was entrusted in 2015 with the State Examination Commission for the agricultural and animal husbandry professions.
